Inspiration: Ectopic Pregnancy

This piece was originally created for my Alphabet Superset challenge for “E – Ectopic Pregnancy” to bring attention to the struggle of parents going through it. Ectopic pregnancy are pregnancies that exist attached to the inside or outside of the Fallopian tube. The rate of loss in these pregnancies is 99% and they are very dangerous. Though modern medicine has greatly improved survival rates of the parent, there is essentially no chance the pregnancy will reach full term. I say essentially, and not zero, because while researching for this design I found a singular case mentioned of a girl who was an ectopic pregnancy and survived.
