This piece is in tribute to The Legend of Korra and the Avatar Universe. It was especially challenging for me to draw with the warm colour palette, dramatic lighting, and movement. These are all things I’ve never challenged myself with before, especially in one large piece. In the end I did allow myself the help of some digital editing.

I also did this piece on hard mode because I chose to work on it while my partner was at work. I would sit in a coffee shop near by and colour it in a large window in the middle of summer. It’s amazing my alcohol markers worked at all.
